What makes Haagsch Recherchebureau unique?

Because our observation and (digital) investigation team is structurally trained in-house at a high level, our detectives are prepared for anything. This, combined with an extensive range of various cover materials, specialist resources, innovative software and a wide fleet of vehicles, means that we are strong in conducting (risky) private investigative investigations.

Screening

Before a detective for Haagsch Recherchebureau gets to work, they go through our strict selection and screening. This includes several interviews, an assessment, identity determination, background research and an investigation into the judicial past. Screening is also being carried out by the National Police. As a result, as a client, you know that you are dealing with a reliable and honest detective, with a professional secret, who conducts research with an independent finding of the truth as a starting point.

ID check

Every client and contact person goes through our ID check. This is also followed by a check in our system for lost and stolen identity documents. This way, we know for sure who we work for and with whom we share (any) confidential information.

Training

All our observers go through a tough 30 days with us observation training at the HBO (+) level, focusing on Unobtrusive and Safe Driving (OVR) and Unobtrusive and Safe Observing (OVO). This specialist course includes attention to driving skills, covers, cover materials, procedures, counter-observation, sight lines, covert devices and reporting. This course is unique in the Netherlands and prepares our observers for practice using extreme scenarios.

Our Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) detectives have extensive training in conducting online research with a specialist partner and are all Certified Open Source Intelligence Experts® (OSINT-III). After completing this post-HBO course, you can secretly conduct online research, gather evidence and report.

Refresher training

By having our observation team and our (digital) detective team train together quarterly in a real-life scenario, we stay sharp on our procedures, maintain our quality standard and continue to develop.

In addition, all members of our observation team, just like the National Police, attend an annual Inconspicuous and Safe Driving (OVR) Application Day with our specialist driving instructor to keep their driving skills sharp and up to date.

Our OSINT detectives closely follow market developments and, where necessary, train in the rapidly changing digital landscape.

Resources

During our investigative investigations, we make use of covert means. This includes communication tools, (thermal imaging) cameras, drones, hidden cameras, monitoring beacons and postal vehicles. The covert tools at our disposal are the same as those used by investigative and intelligence services. This allows us to conduct unseen investigations and gather evidence in the public space.

Digital research

For us, every detective investigation starts with a digital investigation, so we can make a good risk inventory. This includes social media, e-mail accounts, phone numbers, addresses, data leaks, domain registrations, BKR registrations, property ownership, online ordering behavior, KvK registrations and more.

Software

As the only detective agency in the Netherlands, we have valuable specialist software that is used by Dutch and American investigative services, among others. This makes it possible to efficiently carry out our communication, location sharing, file sharing, drone operation and reporting (costs). For example, the findings of our (pre) explorations can easily be made clear during briefings from our observation team. In addition, drone images, footage and location can be viewed in real time by our office detective team, so that the operation can be adjusted remotely, if necessary.

Fleet

Through cooperation with our mobility partners, we can have any type of vehicle on demand, from old-timer to contemporary models. In addition to cars, we also have bicycles, scooters, motorbikes, vans, trucks and boats, among others. Some of these are equipped with covert equipment. This makes it possible for us to adapt to the environment in large (risky) studies. In order to respond to the environment, these include electric and hybrid vehicles where (tactically) possible.

Covers

With our wide range of covers and cover materials, our observers blend well into the environment. This allows them to work discreetly and so we can provide reliable observation reports to our client.

Counterobservation

By actively training for counter-observation, also known as counter-surveillance (CS), and always taking this into account when conducting observations, we limit the risk of failure for the client and the safety risks of our observers. For the safety of our observation team, they work with a bullet and stab resistant vest and an emergency button to report to the police if the threat level of the investigation is this.

Free advice?

We are happy to advise you without obligation and completely free of charge, after all, every case is different. We can well imagine that you find it exciting to hire a detective agency, after all, you don't do that every day. An informal one consultation therefore, if necessary, takes place on neutral ground and the contact takes place via your preferred channel. This so that the other party does not get any of the contact you have with us. For example, we can be reached via WhatsApp, phone, email and in person.
